This race looks awesome. Runners meet at the University of British Columbia for a night time, neon-filled, crazy clothes party time. Radiant Run is a family friendly event that encourages everyone to participate. I'm not a skilled runner so it will be nice to have a no-pressure run... that ends with a party (why haven't I signed up yet?).
On top of that, proceeds go towards two very worthy local charities, the British Columbia Make-A-Wish Foundation and Cystic Fibrosis Canada. The way I see it, the cost of registration ($53-63, depending on when you register) will not only drive me to increase my own personal health but will also benefit people in my community who need help the most. Win-win.

Here's the thing: I'm a bit of a chicken. I don't want to be that lame island girl running alone. So, this is when you comment below saying, "Kristina, I'm totally down with joining you!"
There's no downside, friends. I dare you to tell me that you don't want to..
1. Be healthy
2. Go to a fun party
3. Dress up in awesome clothes with other awesome people
4. Support fantastic causes
5. Hang out with me.
